A joint hotel initiative- Reducing Plastic Pollution, Upcycled Art & Reducing Waste

Reducing Plastic Pollution

Recognizing the critical importance of environmental stewardship, Millennium Al Barsha, Millennium Atria, and Millennium Mont Rose partnered in a comprehensive plastics collection campaign. This sustainability initiative aimed to raise awareness about plastic pollution and actively reduce its impact on the environment. By providing convenient collection points at each property, we encouraged guests and employees to properly dispose of plastic waste for recycling. The collected plastics will be processed and repurposed, minimizing landfill waste and promoting a circular economy.

Upcycled Art: A Sustainable Initiative

As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, Millennium Al Barsha, Millennium Atria, and Millennium Mont Rose organized a unique plastic reusing campaign, challenging each department to contribute artistic creations made entirely from discarded plastic materials. This initiative not only reduced plastic waste but also sparked creativity and collaboration across teams. The resulting artworks, ranging from sculptures to decorative installations, demonstrate the versatility of recycled plastic and the ingenuity of our employees. Through this campaign, we aim to inspire guests and the wider community to rethink their relationship with plastic and embrace the principles of reuse and upcycling.

Reducing Waste Through Segregation, Recycling, and Education

Recognizing the environmental impact of waste, Millennium Al Barsha, Millennium Atria, and Millennium Mont Rose have implemented a robust waste management program. This includes comprehensive waste segregation at the source, ensuring recyclable materials are separated from general waste. We actively promote recycling through dedicated collection points and partnerships with certified recycling facilities. Furthermore, we are exploring innovative solutions to reduce food waste and minimize our overall waste generation.
